David Day

 

David Day was born in 1923. 

 

After a career in the Navy which he left on 21.10.1946, he had a short spell at Airfix before joining Kiddicraft as Sales Manager on 01.07.1947.  He made an immediate impression and was promoted to General Manager on 01.09.1947,

a mere two months later.

 

David headed up Kiddicraft after Hilary Page’s death and was instrumental in saving the business from collapse, working closely with Oreline Page and Warwick Allpass, the other directors.

 

David Day left Kiddicraft in  February 1977 following the acquisition of the business by Hestair in October 1976.

 

David died of cancer in 1987, aged 64.
